How to choose the color of ink for our UV printer ？

Generally speaking, the 5-color printing effect of the UV printer can already meet the needs of daily printing.

The 5 colors are (C-cyan, M red, Y yellow, K black, and W white), and other colors can be deployed through color software.

Considering high-quality printing or customization requirements, uv printer colors can add LC (light cyan), LM (light red), LK (light black), LLK (light black) and spot colors (orange, purple, green), V (Varnish)

Under normal circumstances, when it comes to the standard configuration of UV printers, they are all 5 colors, but the corresponding number of printheads is different,

some require one printhead, some require 3 printheads, and some require 5 printheads, because the types of printheads are different ( The number of channels of the printhead is different), for example:

E.g

1. Epson printhead, 8 channels, one channel can produce one color, then one printheadcan produce five colors, or six colors plus two white or eight colors (maximum).

1. Ricoh G5 printhead, one printheadhas 2 columns of channels, that is, two colors can be produced, and 3 printheads are required for 5 colors.
2. Seiko gs508 printhead, one printheadproduces one color, 5 printheads are required for 5 colors.

It should be understood that the more colors a single printhead produces, the slower the printing speed.

Commercial printheads, usually equipped in small and medium-sized machines,

use Epson printheads, which have higher printing accuracy, more suitable for customized gift printing;

The printheads that produce one color from one printhead, usually are industrial ones.

The printing fineness is usually not as high as that of commercial printheads,

but the printing speed is fast, which is suitable for large-format printing such as advertising signs.

The 5-color printing effect of uv printer can meet the following requirements:

1. Ordinary color printing, printing color patterns on transparent materials, black materials, and dark materials;(Color-based material requires white ink printing first to make colors show better)
2. 3d effect, print the visual 3d effect pattern on the surface of the material;
3. Relief effect, the surface pattern of the material is uneven, and the hand feels layered.

With the V (Varnish) extra, which is usually printed at the end, looks glossy and provides a layer of protection for the color.

If the 5-color(CMYKW) printing effect of the uv printer is not satisfactory, how to upgrade?

1. On the hardware: add new printheads, ink cartridges(ink tanks), ink tubesand other components;

However, it is recommended to configure it before shipping from the factory,

because it is time-consuming to operate by ourselves, and improper operation may damage the printer.

1. On the software: upgrade the original control software and color software.

Contact the original manufacturer to make it.

In this way, the uv printer can achieve 5-color, 6-color, 8-color and more color printing effects.
